Finally Bought My Dream Car. 1969 Roadrunner Project

The 28" tires fit the wells just right in my eyes. 30s get tight at the front. I wanted my ride height to be with the wheelwell lip even with the top edge of the wheel, like your last picture.
You can help it a little with taller spring perches.

Almost finished up with the driver side mini tub. Just gotta do some more welding tomorrow and then on to the passenger side

Also have decided on a 28” tall front runner. Will order when I buy the disc brakes and spindles

Just scored this for a screaming deal. Narrowed Dana 60 , rebuilt , moser axles, disc brakes the whole nine yards. Measured out perfect for my wheel setup

Yeah I couldn’t believe it. 1200$ . Ends up saving me a lot of money and time. She gonna be a roller real soon I have everything new for the front end other then disc brakes and spindles

Plans have changed from a long time ago btw. This car is going to be getting a Gen3 hemi turbo setup. Going for big numbers now.

Started on the passenger side now. Gonna get this all done and then do the finishing stuff to both after. Still waiting on my Dana60 to get here . Can’t wait

Perfect. In my opinion anyways. I'm also a patient of the slotted wheel sickness. Love my some slotted mags. How's the needle scaler treating you? What brand is it?

I would say the needle scaler is the best damn tool I’ve ever used. Taking that undercoating off any other way is ridiculous. This thing blasts it off in minutes where other ways takes hours lol. It’s just loud as hell. Just a harbor freight one. Works great

So some crazy stuff has happened since I’ve last posted. Had a house fire .. pictures of the car in the next post

But the car survived! Now I have to get it out of the garage so that means it’s time for the front to go together the car will be living with me at my friends house in his garage where Work will continue on it. Hoping to maybe drive it out of his garage by the time it’s ready to go back to my house

Wow! that did a lot of damage. I hope everything goes well and you get back soon.

It’s ok. Mostly just furniture and all the kitchen stuff burned. Already got all the new stuff with the insurance money and have 10k left over for mister roadrunner. We have sense named the car 9 life’s. Because all the stuff it’s been through and it’s still here. Escaped being a parts car. Passed around through owners. Didn’t get towed by the code enforcement cause I got it out of my old houses driveway just in time.Even survived a house fire and whoever knows what in its past. Thank god for fire rated drywall/doors and renters insurance.

damn...hate to see that. bring's back bad memories....and made me dam glad I had a detached garage.
