Finnally got it home - 71 Charger - (56K Warning)

Lynch Road-built cars have the most vague fender tags , and have mystery numbers across the top-lines ; still don't know wtf that extra tag is with just a "P" stamped on it
(my '72 Coronet has that same tag ... maybe it's from the "P(aint)" booth ??).
As far as I know (and that is what I read somewhere on the net) the second tag shows the guy who made the final acceptance in the factory. My Charger has two tags, too. Tag says "H59".

This is a '71 posted here for sale that is citron.

Yea I'm guessing that's not the right color then. the stripe is yellow - not lime green.

Wow, Load it up, send it to me stripped of all parts, and ready for Media Blasting. North East cars love to make their way to TX, I liberate old crappy steel from salty roads!

If I could give you some advice, painting over that rust will not fix, or stop the rust -- I know you know that, just hate to see good money thrown away on bad things, everything is fixable, so, are you ready? If I can be of any assistance, let me know! Questions and time in this forum are free!

No funds to ship to Texas. I've been looking into soda blasting though. As for sanding, we're going down to bare sheet metal then throw down a quick coat of primer to keep it from flash rusting over night.

I've got "F" on the lower left and "P" on the upper right.

Soda Blasting is great for paint removal, and leaving the surface metal all shiny, but it does nothing to punch out rust and Bondo. Something to think about, since it looks like those qtrs are junk, no need to sand that down, or, even media blast it, just score a new one, and remove the old one, then prep the inside and fix the probable rust that lurks underneath. Everything you are about to do has good/bad aspects, everything is a trade off, good luck!
