Firecore HEI w/ MSD 6AL (for rev limiter)?

I'm buttoning up a 440 swap into my 69' Satellite (originally 318 car) and I want to install a rev limiter. I'm currently running a Firecore HEI distributor and coil. It seems redundant to me to install one of these MSD ignition boxes when I already have a good ignition system, less the rev limiter. Once wired in, would I technically be running two ignitions at the same time at that point? That doesn't sound right.

When I called Firecore, the guy I talked to seemed clueless and just said to run a 6AL box.

Just run this with what you have. PerTronix 600 Digital REV Limiter

Summit used to have a stand alone adjustable rev limiter that was pretty cheap...

The Rev limiter module would just piggy- back the ice cream pail distributor
