Can I get a photo of the linkage of an auto floor shift car? Specifically the brackets that hold the shifter itself. I seem to be missing a piece at the end to secure the shifter.

I’m assuming there should be a clamp that attaches to the trans pan??. But the image should show that.

Maybe this is a complete set?
74 charger.

You can download free service manuals at Service Manuals – MyMopar

Wow, imagine that!... something at Year One is "discount exempt"! :soapbox:

Okay.. this same one is on ebay for a better price but one question I sent the seller (without a response) is that I want to make sure that this description isn't neccessarly restricted to the T-handle?

".....1971-74 Plymouth GTX - RoadRunner - Satellite and 1971-74 Dodge Charger - SuperBee with T-handle console shifter..."

My shifter is the top push button.. I have to assume it is the same linkage and the type of shifter is independent?

The linkage shown in the diagram from the service manual in post #3 is the layout for your 1974 Charger with the knob/button shifter. Chrysler switched from the knob/button shifter used in the 1970 E-bodies to the plastic T-handle for the 1971-1973 B-bodies and E-bodies, then changed back to the knob/button type for 1974.

The linkage listed at Classic Industries is for column shift and 1970 E-body console, and is only part of the linkage set up. The Year One kit and the kit you saw on eBay (eBay link) is correct, but is not everything. The contents and fit of these kits is the same for the knob/button shifter or the plastic T-handle shifter.

The following image shows the shifter installed inside the car with the upper shift rod, torque shaft upper bracket, spring, and the top of the torque shaft:

This is a Challenger, but the same for the Charger.

The following two images show the torque shaft, torque shaft lower support bracket, and lower shift rod:

The torque shaft lower support bracket mounts to the transmission tail shaft at the point circled in the following image:
