Hey all,
I'm looking to upgrade my 8 3/4 for something stronger. I'm afraid I'm going to destroy my 8 3/4 while dumping the clutch on the dragstrip.

I know Strange has a great S60 setup but I like the option of having the removable gear sets.

Speedway Motors has a Fabricated Ford 9" setup for a decent price and it looks pretty beefy.

Anyone using one of these and is it strong enough for a 4 speed and the track?

^^^^ at least a 35 spline, if you're already spending money

Sure you need to do it?
What are:
Engine, Trans, Gear, Tire Size and suspension setup?

Dumping the clutch on 650 horse? I think I'd go with a Modular 9". Quick Performance is another place that specializes in those. Quick Performance: Differential Parts & Components

Think really hard about how often you'll change gear sets !!!

Doctor Diff can set you up with whatever you need. I had him supply me with a complete Strange 9 inch for my last project. Pulled the Dana out and sold it and installed the 9 inch.
