I found a 1968 coronet 500, it is all original down to the hubcaps, it has the original motor and trans which is a 318, the car is a triple green, still has the original spare tire in the truck and its not flat, the car is all there, and I'm going to restore it, not sure if I want to put it back to all original or not. I got it out of this guys side yard where it sunk on all four aired up tires. But any ideas on what to do with it?

Love that color combo. Put a Big Block in and leave all badging alone. Post more pictures. AC car?

I had had one just like except blue damn thing had 486000 miles on it no joke. The original owner after retirement ran at least $20 in gas a day in it. I bought it from his son after he died, ended up selling it for $800 wished I hadn't wanted to put a 383 or 440 in it. But bought my Plymouth and sold the Dodge wish I could've kept it.

Welcome to BBO...Nice find! search this site often for info/parts. Lots of knowledge here. FYI : factory build/broadcast sheet is tucked behind backseat.:headbang:

Yeah no doubt if it's that original it's going to be there.

Nice find....congrats! I hope the buildsheet is still there.
Mice like stuff like that....especially when it's cold and they're hungry.

Nice find. I Agree with moparstuart! Build it your way. For my part, I'd go stock, being that it's so much at that point now.
Welcome to the addiction, Enjoy your Mopar friend.

Other than checking the obvious rust areas, CHECK AND CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE COWL.
Do a search on ideas how to do that. You may, but many people don't know that it is a ticking time bomb on lots of these cars. You could do a lot of work or spend money on other things and find problems there later.
If the front floor pans are rusty, water got in there some way.
Could be the wiper seals or door seals. But you never know.
Oh, and that body was my first car. Love it.

great find .. just bought one have it home soon.. good luck ..do it as you want ...great body style ..WELCOME 1968 beeee.jpg
