Found Me a 1969 RR

Yes, I think so. It's in WA. I thought it was a reserve auction, Someone outbid me and that was cool with me. Then a few hours before the auction ended, Epay sent me a note I was wining because of a bid retraction. I bid on this 3-4 days ago. No one else wanted it? Anyway then Epay says we are checking to see who won? Waited a while and got notice I did win. O.K. I got the cash coming, Gonna put the deposit down when he E-mails me back. Then pay him, then figure a way to get it from Something WA to Columbia MO. So it is R4 red. Is that a Spring Color with no vinyl top?

Be careful.

That used to be a common scam.

Do your homework before sending money.

Here's some inspiration!

I agree.
PayPal deposit, fly out to inspect in person. If seller doesn't agree to this then cancel the PayPal and dodge the bullet.

I was a "due to a bid retraction, you are now the winning bidder" on a 64 Polara 500 about 10 years ago.
It was in Miami, which is about a 3.5 hour drive.
I told the seller I would be down with the cash and a trailer after they gave me their address.
They came up with every excuse they could think up NOT to give me the address.
Finally they said "this is so easy, just send me the money and I will have the car delivered".

Yeah. Uh, NO.

I will say that was the only questionable grammar used in the entire series of conversations.
That is not usually the case.

Maybe ask for a pic of today's newspaper laying on the car.

Yes, I asked for some recent pictures like the Pass, door open and trunk and title. No answer yet.

That's even better with today's cell phones.

Congra On the score! Let us see it when it’s done!

That doesn’t sound promising. Hope you get the car, but at least you are wary now if it is a scam.
Yep, Ebay has been informed. He said : Wen you coming to get car?'' after I reported them. No Address, no Name, no phone number. Such a jerk. Ebay says my deposit is secure. They said give him until Monday to respond and send info and pics i asked for.
