My '71 Satty doesn't have a front sway bar and desperately needs it. Did a little searching but didn't find anything to tell me what i need to install one.

What are my options ? Factory ones ? or are there aftermarket ? Anyone have one to get rid of ?

I got this for my 71 Satillite

https://www.amazon.com/Hotchkis-2254F-Sport-Front-Mopar/dp/B0050UYGDM

And I needed these..

I did have a shop that did classic cars/muscle cars do the work though. It did completely change the car as I got the rear also.

For cheaper option I think Helwig has the same type of setup. Also I believe that if you have a k-member from a RR or GTX (383ci or larger) of that year it should have the brackets already in place as I believe that the 318 Satellites did not come with front sway bars... at least mine did not. My 71 RR does have factory though.

Awesome. Thank you for taking the time to include those links. I've found the Helwig unit and that looks like a good solution. This thing is a real ox around corners, feel like i'm going to scrape the door handles. ;)

Oh yeah.. same thing I had with this odd bouncy feeling as you turned a corner. The front and rear sway bars cleared that right up and the car feels like its turning properly. The rear may be overkill but I had lots of expendable income at the time haha.

Tell more about the car. You might want to look into tubular upper control arms, new strut rods, AND a stabilizer. Firm fell is a starting point. I'd have to look for pictures if need be

I have their UCA, LCA stiffner plates, front stabilizer bar, Bilstein shocks, etc. All I know is the front is tighter than a nun's c**t

Nice.. adding that to my website list.

I have never had sex with those people...How did you come to this conclusion?

More questions...... ordered an Addco sway bar from some internet company only to cancel the order 4 weeks later after they still hadn't shipped it. Jegs showed the same bar for same price, had them call Addco to confirm they had one they could ship, "they did" so i order it. 2 weeks and a dozen phone calls later i cancel that order due to non shipment. Addco sux ! I will not buy their bar just based off their customer service. F them.

Trying to find another brand in the $200 range. Any suggestions ?

Also, are all 71 Satellites ready to mount a sway bar to ? Mounting holes there ? I don't really know where it goes without having a bar in hand. Anyone with a pic ?

I installed the Helwig front sway bar in my 72 Satellite last summer. Cost $190. Helwig 5904 is what you want. It's not too tricky. I did have to drill holes in the LCA to put in mounting bracket. My car didn't have a factory sway bar bracket (I imagine most Satellites don't have them). The instructions with the sway bar are very clear and it took me about 2 hours to do (after I got a 9/16 titanium drill bit). It's not difficult. I did mine when I was rebuilding front end, so my LCAs were already out of car. That made it easier. But all in all, it's not too bad.

Again, Firm Feel

Again, Firm Feel

I'm sure the FirmFeel is a great unit, but it's almost double the cost of the Addco, or Hellwig unit. This is just a street/daily car, and a rusted POS at that. Trying to limit being upside down in it.
