I swapped out LH studs for RH studs this weekend and much to my surprise I was able to knock the studs out with a small ball pein after drilling/grinding out the material near the swedge. I first cut the studs off with a cut-off wheel, then carefully center punched, next drilled about 1/2” deep with a 1/2” bit. I used a die grinder to further relieve the material near the swedge and voila, a couple good licks with a ball pen and punch and they dropped right out.
