I got a 1976 360 engine with an Automatic transmission attached. The person I got it from told me he thought it had frozen because it would not turn. It looked really good so i took it home. I pulled out the plugs, which looked pretty good. No water stains on anything. I put a wrench on the harmonic balancer bolt and tried to turn it over. Stuck. I tried to turn it in the opposite direction. It turned and very easy. My mind started working on what it could be. I had a flash back from something I had done wrong years ago. I remembered, leaving ONE of my torque converter bolts loose and it hit the block and stopped the engine from turning over. I looked at the bolts and sure enough one was not even a converter bolt. It had a thicker head on it and you could see it had been hitting the engine block for a while. Must have worked out one day and the engine would not turn. As a MOPAR guy i had more correct bolts. I rebuilt the engine, stuck it into a 73 Satellite and fantastic.
