I'm getting ready to order a larger fuel cell for my Belvedere and I want to order one with a sending unit so that I can have a gas gauge. The wire that went to the original gas tank seems to be under the car still and I want to make sure it works before I order a fuel cell with a mopar sending unit. I would assume that this wire has 12 volts to it all the time as long as the key is on? Am I correct?
If I have to install an aftermarket fuel gauge, I think I would order a fuel cell with a GM sending unit as most of the gauges are for GM's. (Go figure...)
Thanks for the help!
Chris

The factory wire for the sender is in the rear harness and goes thru the trunk floor then to the tank. If there is a wire underneath running to the rear it may have been for an electric pump at one time.
