Fuel sending unit Size?

I ordered a new Fuel Sending Unit for my 69 RR and by my mistake ordered a 3/8 inch ,but need a 5/16 inch. I can make a good rubber fuel line connection from the 3/8 sending unit to the 5/16 fuel line. Is there and issue doing this ?? I like the new sending unit 3/8, It has a longer Pickup screen.

440/426 .All originally came with a 3/8 with vent sending unit.....

440 originally came with 5/16 fuel line

Six pack and hemi had all 3/8 everything

So use 5/16 hose from the 3/8 sender to the 5/16 fuel line....

Jegs or Summit will have a brass fitting that goes from 3/8 hose barb to 5/16 hose barb. I got one when I did the same as you knowing that the fuel line would be replaced from tank to front in the future.

you can put in a new 3/8 line and a vapor separator fuel filter and use the 5/6 as the return- done it lots of times
