What? No sense of humor?

Early B? 318? That would be a Poly version, right?
There probably aren't many here with one. Most everyone seems to modify their cars for more power.
People can make guesses as to what could be possible.
I'd say a light B body with few options weighing maybe 3400 lbs, with say a 2.76 gear may be capable of 17-18 mpg if everything is tuned up and if you are staying under 60 mph. This is merely a guess. More may be possible.
I got 15.1 with this car:

440 stroked to 495, 528 solid cam, Tremec 5 speed and 3.55 axle gears. Final drive through 5th is 2.27. The car is just shy of 4000 lbs.
Low rpms at freeway speeds makes it possible for me.

3.23 rear, auto, 318 poly, 600 vac sec Holley.

Now it's a stroker it's running pretty much the same mpg (same carb, rear end etc).
