Gas pedal position

67 Satellite automatic with floor console.

I just replaced my floor pans and I need to reposition the gas pedal and drill new holes in the floor.

Any suggestions?

No, I didn't measure the location of the pedal when I tool out the old one

Just redid the floor in my 66 Charger and here are the pictures i took from the old one

Be sure not to get it to high or to far left near the brake pedal. Here is a picture what it should look like.

It's kind of working backwards, but the base sits at the inner forward corner of the carpet heel pad.
Cutting the rectangular hole for the pedal base is an SOB.

I’ll vouch for that. It was a pain in the a$& but not impossible.

If mark where you need to cut with carpet in the car. Then remove it punch through the corners (make the hole for gas pedal on the small side) draw a line punch to punch mark. Cut carpet from the bottom. Try cutting a scrap piece to see if you like cutting that way.
