gas tank sending unit

This was a couple of years ago but I think 125.00. I thought well worth it to have one that would work.

That is Not Bad,I would pay that for something that would Fit and Function. Better than Chinese **** ! I have an Original sender i would like to get rebuilt.

It's likely just the varistor on the sending unit.
the contact slides along a wound wire like a spring.
It probably loses contact throughout it's range of travel.
