Gasoline Question

I can get 94 octane with no ethanol from Chevron around here, it's what I put in any small engines that might have to sit for awhile.

you must not have any ethanol laced crap?

Same crap gas everyone else has. With that being said, if I was putting something away for an extended period I would treat the gas or like my generator, I run it empty. I might not use that for years.

I’m in Du page county neighbor ! We’re stuck with the **** ethanol. I use Sea foam in all my vehicles plus good gas like shell.
lombard here, neighbor. 101 ethanol used to be sold at speedway at rt56 & rt 59, till some doofus destroyed the pump. found 101 ethanol laced at a shell on rt 47, either rt38 or 64

LOL...I know where these airports are at... suburbs around Chicago mainly south, southwest, and west.
Haywire... when I drive from Bloomington to Joliet I stop at the Gas City at corner of Rt59 and Black Rd and get racing gas there. In case you did not know they sold it.
i bought the convertible near there

my dad mentioned that, long ago

I drove tankers for 25 years. I delivered gas to countless stations and only one time did I see it a problem. Cars were conking out at the end of the driveway. Why? The owner did not gauge his tanks for water every day

Today all tanks have built in tank product level & water detection.

I agree with dad. I never buy gas if the truck is delivering, because you never know.

I have switched to ethanol free in the mowers, snow blower and Road Runner. This gas is much more stable and since I started using it I noticed much less problems with gas engines.

I won't even pull into a station where there's a tanker off loading....

I've found non ethanol canned gas in some places but man, it's expensive!!

The Road Pilot at York and Irving used to have 101 while back.

You know the new stuff if made for the alky mess, right? All the rubber lines are made to handle it but yeah, letting it sit is the main problem. My 95 Dakota is still doing just fine and I replaced the soft lines on my garden tractor over 25 years ago and they are still doing good too however, all the fuel that goes through the small stuff gets double dose treated with Sta-Bil.
