I'm friggin nervous here. The kids were off from school due to the snow, but I went back in to check the level of the car and tweak it if necessary.

The door sill is level with the 2' level. I check the bottom for rocker with a 4' level....again, level. The 4' level was just long enough to touch the rear and front framerails underneath, again, level.

But dammit...that friggin side cut line doesn't look level. does the back of the 65 coronet really slope down that much?

Also: the floor cut line 15" forward goes right through the brake cable guides...figures!!!!

Oh yeah, got to install some bracing first before cutting.....

Just kidding... It takes BIG HUGH STONES to cut into a '65 Dodge!! I admire you! I hope to one day build an AWB '65 Dodge hardtop... Keep the pics coming!

Awb

Don't be so ascared! It's just metal and ANYTHING can be fixed.
My dad & his friend cut up a 64 Savoy in 65 and then made it an AWB with a fiberglass 65 nose. All done with a torch!!! All done it a 1 bay garage in Brooklyn. They didnt have much to work with. Brace it. Jack stand it .Say a prayer and GO 4 IT !!.

Check out what it turned into at the end.
