' 68 Charger ...Am I going stupid or is there a problem getting this thing out.. I can't without crushing it  get this f@#$% thing out.. heater box have to come out ??

Its a lot easier pulling it out the back and there's a lot of crap in the way.

Pull the passenger kick panel & remove the bolt that holds that end of the dash.... Pull out on the dash & roll the glovebox out the back & down...

thanks I got it

Yeah, but you still have to put it back in without destroying the replacement...

When you pull that bolt you can gain a full inch of room easily... I've seen guys moose it & gain two plus inches but I wouldn't feel comfortable going that far...

I f@#$%^ with this thing for half an hour, than it was over, I wasted enough time on this stupid thing. Thanks, when the time comes I'll follow your advise on the new one....on to getting the cluster out next.
