does anyone know of a good brand that replicates 66 GG1 sequoia green poly? i talked with axalta and they said they don't have a mix for it anymore and recommend a paint code that was supposed to be close and it's way different. wondering if anyone's had any luck with a good paint manufacturer that has a sequoia green duplicate.

GG1 can be mixed at anyone that sells PPG paints. The mix formula is still available. 67 and 68 GG1 are different tints for example. When we had our car done, they sprayed a sample of both. Took it back to the car and compared it to the steering column bracket . Got the right match. My advice is to get a 66 sample made and have it sprayed on a piece of metal to compare. Might also have original paint in the glove box area.

As mentioned the Ditzler code for your year should show up.
Possibly google GG1 make for the year.

I have been the auto body caretaker of a GG1 68 GTX for almost 40 years.
The offset (same as) color is Porsche code 22L Oak Green.
Go look for a color chip for that and compare. I think you will like it.
Most colors have a doppleganger.
The problem is old colors were never updated into urethane formulas.
I think 66 is different than 68 GG1

i'll check this out as well if they can't find the color directly. from pictures online the porsche color looks very comparable. and that's what they were telling me as well about the urethane stuff. they have been giving me free samplers to go home and swatch so i'll grab one of the porsche shade and spray and see how it turns out. you'd think they'd see a big enough market to make new formulas for original colors. what do i know though, if my car ends up green i'm happy ha

if you have a surviving sample, any paint store should be able to colormap it
right, but the car doesn't drive right now and the cleanest part i've got is under the trunk lid. if it came down to it i'd bring the trunk lid down and have them scan it.
