We have a wedding tonight - open bar, so alcohol will be involved.
We also have a wedding next NYE - so two in a row.

We're not going anywhere and we were supposed to get the Granddaughters so Mommy and Daddy could go out, but 8" of snow in the past 4 hours might have that off the rails as well. Now where's my beer... 100 CM is over THREE feet...

Sounds like a good idea!!
The GF will be eggnoggin by 6, asleep before 9, coffee and Baileys for me, and maybe till 10:30.... but that might be a pipe dream. Midnight is NOT happening!
See you guys next year.
I like to stay up until all the fireworks die down. Have a neighbor across the street one door down that likes to light things up and want to make sure nothing catches fire on my side of the street. Been awhile since we've had rain too....
you got my tickets
No, they're mine!

Those were the plans for the past few years. This year, we were going out for the night, but plans got canned since I got a mild flu.

I agree. One of my houses in socal still had home fireworks legal, so I had to be ready with a hose for the roof. Fortunately, home fireworks there are now illegal
Strangely, in my area of the az desert, fireworks are available 356, and legal. I would bet there will be more firearm noise than fireworks where I am, tonight. (I hear local firearm use, every week).

Fireworks are not legal here either....but I have a 12g shot gun fire cracker ready and waiting

Happy friggin New Year! Daughter decided to drop the GD's anyhow and I knew she'd never get in here with her Mazda CX-3. Had to blow a foot of snow all the way to the next concession road and back so I knew she'd get them here safe.
