Here's a bit of sound advice young man. Stop the oneupmanship! The more you claim something "doesn't impress you" and the more you continue to write chapter upon chapter trying to prove it doesn't "impress you", the more you expose the fact that it really DOES "impress you".

"Thou doth protest too much!"

I'm surprised a person of your self proclaimed stature would settle for such cheap items!

Hey guys, I am just busting balls, I enjoy acting like the donald once and a while, he may be on to something... And ECS thanks for taking the time to give this "young man" some advice, but obviously the stuff I say in bruz' trump-ish threads isnt the "real" me, you have to read the initial' trump post to get it, I don't think I would be much of anything if I really acted like that, lol...

Went to the gun show on Saturday and it sucked. About 20 tables of M-4s, another 20 tables of M-4 parts, 10 tables of knives and tshirts, six tables of handguns, and three tables of general parts. I was looking for P38 magazines, and found three folks selling PPK/S mags but no P38. How many PPK/S are even around???

We also had a new gun store open this weekend. The guy is a Class III dealer, so it's cool to walk into a shop with an M2, an MG-42, and a M1934 mounted and on display. Bad side is he's pretty much selling nothing but M-4s and Smith & Wesson polymer guns. :( His display case had about 100 AR-15 lower receivers and he builds rifles to order. I was so sick of looking at M-4s by then I couldn't take anymore, so I left. Hopefully his inventory will age in a bit over time.

Well to 're open this one .I went down to the gun store the other day after France got hit ! And people were buying everything . Ammo was cleared out shotguns and hand guns gone and most assault rifles were gone only the high dollar ones left so I was a good husband and bought an ar15 as per my wife for home defence : ) and had to order ammo .but funny thing is all the high capacity clips were still sitting on the shelf clear as day as people were complaining they wanted them lucky I knew where they were and bought the shelf out so hopefully my 2000 rds show up soon so I can get everything set up .
My ? To every one is after the attacks are you going to get any more guns or? And why you are or arnt? I'm curious to see what other people think on this subject here's a pic of my new baby
Ar15 bushmaster with a red dot site and 40 rd clips I got my hands on about 12 clips I'll get more when they come available again

First off... those are magazines, not clips. :) Magazines contain ammunition. Clips just clip them together (think of an M-1 Garand clip).

I haven't been to any gun stores since the attacks in France, but I've pretty much quit going a few weeks ago because most gun stores have little or no stock and their prices are insane. What stuff is in stock is usually just a bunch of M-4s and a TON of cheap import pistols that look and shoot like crap. I went looking for the S&W Model 19 I wanted, and the only one I could find was at a gun & pawn. It had regular everything, the wood target grips were replaced with Hogue rubber ones, and about 20% of the finish was gone, and they wanted $575 and wouldn't budge on the price. I ended up getting one off gunbroker.com with 99% finish and rosewood target grips, target hammer, target trigger, and RR/WO sights for $435. With shipping and transfer it came out to $485, so I got a much better gun for less money. Now I'm looking on there for the rest of my Most Wanted list:

S&W Model 19, 2.5" barrel, blue
S&W Model 15, 4", blue
S&W Model 66, 4", Stainless
Beretta 96FS
Colt SAA clone
1911A1 Plain Government Model

By the way, there's a site called floridaguntrader.com that's like a craigslist for gun owners. :) And the best place for ammo is to order it online from Academy Sporting Goods.

As for AR-15s, great rifle on the range, but a really bad choice for home defense, as is any long gun. If you really want to protect the wife, get her a revolver and teach her to shoot it with her weak hand.

Local gun shop where I bought my Winchester is well stocked with both guns and ammo. No permit of any kind needed to buy and carry concealed.

Ghost- Do they still do a NICS check?

Clips is easyer to type that's why I did that. Anyway s yeah gunbroker is a nice site .I'll look at academy's ammo online as for the home defence we both have pistols (I was joking about the AR being home defence) we have plenty of shot guns too.I know what you mean by cheap crappie guns at the stores every time I went in I'd buy a pistol or? Here recently there's nothing I will buy it's all junk or extremely overpriced.
My brother in law work s for kel Tec here in fl and he gets guns cheap he tryed to get me to buy that abortion of a shot gun they have I've heard nothing but bad things about it .
Anyone have or had one that would like to share?

I was at Shooters in Jacksonville last week, and some dude was trying to sell a Remington 870 to a guy using the old "nothing like this sound to put the fear of God into an intruder", then he racks the pump action. I just started snickering and shaking my head. That has got to be the single, stupidest, thing I hear people say and I hear it all the time.

Is someone really going to walk around with a shotgun without a shell in the chamber just so they can chamber it when they know the intruder can hear them? Do they just walk around chambering rounds every few minutes hoping the intruder will hear them? The whole concept is just so stupid, but it still sells people on shotguns. :)

Movies...I blame movies..

Sounds like my father. He said he wanted a pump just for the sound. I bought him a pump and 00 buck shot he told me to keep the shells he had bird shot I asked him what he was going to do with that he said the sound will scare the intruder off I said oh that's nice and if it doesn't? He said he would use bird shot on him till he leaves .
Interesting huhhhh

Inside the house birdshot is the best to use. You are close enough to any one to blow a large hole in them. It also may not kill your love one in the next room, buckshot will.

Long guns are great if you're going to get in the far corner of your room, call the police, and wait for them to come in the event you hear an intruder or an alarm goes off. A shotgun is awesome in that situation. The problem is that situation rarely occurs.

What happens far more frequently is someone hears a noise and goes to investigate. They don't want to waste the cops' time by having them come out because Fluffy the cat knocked over something, so they grab up a gun and start going through the house. And how do they investigate? By turning lights on in every hallway and room they go into, which tells a home invader exactly where they are and how fast they are coming (it tells burglars this too, but burglars tend to haul *** the moment they know they've been detected).

So you round the corner with your long gun barrel sticking out a couple feet ahead of you, and all the bad guy has to do is grab the muzzle to control that weapon. You can determine when to fire, but he decides where the shot will go, which is pretty important. Worse, he now has control of a lever to work against you. He pushes the muzzle down, you either drop the weapon or bend down to keep hold of it and he knees you in the head. He pushes the muzzle up and you release the weapon or go up with it, and he has clear access to punch you in the face, neck, or chest. Either way, you lose.

This is why the best home defense weapon is a handgun that you can use with your weak hand. If you're going to go out and investigate threats... and you know you are... then hold the handgun in your weak hand and lead with your strong hand to open doors, turn on lights, etc. That was if you are blitzed you can use your strong hand to fend off the attacker and shoot him with your weak hand.

agree with Bruzilla.
a judge loaded with .410 is an ideal option

Did something like this with my pos son-in-law a few years ago. He never saw my .45 auto but I chambered a round (already had a round in the chamber) just to let him know I had it. It made him leave right now. I was in my car at night with the driver's side window down and no internal lights so it was good and dark. This punk has not bothered me or any of my family since but I'm sure the day is coming when he does something stoooopid. The last time we 'spoke', he called me every cuss word in the book. That was a year earlier but I've been putting up with this jail bird wife beater druggie for over 25 years and well, I'm taking his **** anymore. He got another surprise that same night. When he called the police on me for the 'incident', the cops questioned me for a few minutes and when they were done with me, they went straight for him lol.

better hope Cliton does not get to be president, she want's all your guns.

selling fast and more because of states like California,Connetticut,New Jersey and My embarrassment, New Yorkistan.
