Gun Debate. I have friends on both sides of the handgun issue, those who believe easy access to handguns is not good for this country and those who believe government has no business dictating ownership one way or the other.

I have gained valuable understanding from both arguments. I have made my final decision.

Certain Americans, especially those who are more likely to become victims of crime, need to own and become proficient with handguns!

I can't discuss it any further right now . . .

It's my turn to pick up the shells.

I take one of my daughters to the range and she can shoot better than I can. She can go through cartridges faster than I can buy them especially with my PC9. My other daughter not so much. I want them to understand how to safely protect themselves.

Most women are excellent shots. They are more analytical; they pay specific attention to their trainers, and to what they are told to do as far as breathing, sight picture, trigger pull, release, etc. They also don't have the typical male braggadocio attitude, so they aren't showing off or anything - just practicing and getting better. Lastly (and possibly most importantly), if they do have a problem they aren't afraid / too proud to actually ask for help.

I was on the pistol team at Villanova. We had a USMC gunnery Sgt as our coach. That as a lot of fun and boring too. We had the requirement to shoot a minimum of 50 rounds each day. We usually ended up trying to write our names in the backstop. We got to be very good without really even trying to (muscle memory and such). Miss you gunney!

My wife’s instructor at her first shoot called me afterwards and she told me Cam was a natural “killer”. She was excellent at taking direction and was great at execution. She told me Cam could shoot with her anytime - very complimentary. Just a warning for all - don’t try to enter our home unannounced. She’s likely to put you in a box.

1st time handgun owners should be trained & certified by a licensed instructor,
or by their 2nd cousin Delmar, whichever is more convenient.
