Has anyone gotten a $1,200.00 check yet?

If you're on SS and don't have direct deposit, April the 17th the IRS will have a online form so you to enter your bank info and they can direct deposit your stimulus money.

Been filing my taxes for several years now using direct deposit and had to pay a whopping 22 bucks on my 2019 return a few weeks ago. The check cleared yesterday in fact. Usually get back a C note or so but there's no more IRA etc anymore. She got all of that.....

Bud, I'm on SS so are you saying I'm on the dole? I paid in for a lot of freakin years.....

I too paid in for SS for my whole working life. I have never counted on it as even being in the picture as being a part of my retirement.
To my surprise, I do get a check from SS and have to add that amount to my tax statement as income to be taxed as INCOME. Bless their heart.
I get a nice check from my pension contributions over 40+ years of working long hours and that income is taxed at current rates.
My investment income (which is in flux) is added to this mix.

Overall I am not in pain. But I am very near financial pain.

BTW I had to make a 5k property tax payment to allow me to reside in my paid-for home. This money comes from what the IRS allows me to deal with.

I didn't sign up for anything or fill anything out. From what I read if you filed taxes either 2018 or 2019 you would be getting a stimulus check. I assumed if that were the case I would receive one eventually. Is there something further I was supposed to do on my end to be eligible?

Not yet; but plan to donate it.
I paid for everybody's bill yesterday at Walmart that were in my line.
A whole $232 my purchase was $9.80.

Must be a ton of people checking their online accounts because mine won't even open up right now. At least my stock account is working and it's even up 7 bucks after buying a couple hundred shares

It's a Stimulus Payment Pandemic !

I checked mine late last night and it was in there. Checked this morning on my phone app and it was down. Called the animated service and it was down due to overwhelming call volume.

So I went to the bank to use the ATM and the two drive up windows had ten cars in each line. The ATM was working so I used it. Went into the grocery store next door and it was quite busy. Shopped for what I needed and the four checkout lines were full. Went to the self checkout and one was open. Traffic was heavier than it's been in quite awhile also. Made it home in one piece!
