Kaiser Motors actually made a car like the one this thread is about, a three door car called a Traveler. The left rear door was welded shut (on the inside) and the spare tire was installed in the gutted shell. The car had a hatchback and there was no room for the spare tire in the usual location. The car looked like a fordoor from the outside however as the door skin was still there and it had a "door" handle but it was non-functioning.
