Headlight knob

How do I get the knob off the headlight switch to change it? Does it thread on? There doesn't appear to be a setscrew in it. ....

There is a button on the side of the switch.push the button and remove the shaft:blob1:

Yup. Unhook the battery. Pull the headlight switch to "on", reach up under and feel for the button, and pull the knob/ shaft out

x2! I was just trying to remove that knob and having learned the hard way in the past with breaking things using too much force, I stepped back, walked to the computer and within 1 min had the answer.
Can't say enough good things about this site and the contributors!
