Headlight relays

I need to reinstall the battery and test the headlights before I can put the parking lights back in and button everything back up.

I guess I can start putting things back together

I got the parking lights in and tested, so I started putting things back together. When testing the headlight closing the drivers side was sticking. After a couple of trys I found the problem. The self tapping screws I used to install the relays were a bit too long and the rim of the headlight pod was hitting them. A couple of new machine screws and it was working perfectly again.

I moved on to the bumper. Working alone you have to be resourceful. I used some small jack stands to hold it in place, but I needed some spacers. A couple of rolls of electrical tape did the trick. The bumper was never really straight before, so again the rolls of electrical tape made perfect spacers for the gap below the grill. It is now pretty close.

I know this is a headlight relay thread, but I moved into the interior to replace the headlight switch. Not easy to get at because of the A/C vent and hoses directly under it. While the seats were out I decided to check under the carpets to see if there was a build sheet. No build sheets but the carpets are original and the floors are pristine.

The broadcast sheet was in the drivers side seat backing, tucked in the springs in my 67 Charger.

I took both of the seats out to have the foam rebuilt in the bottoms. I pried the backs open enough to see inside, but no broadcast sheets there either. I think if there was one the previous owner who initially restored the car 20 years ago kept it. He also kept the certicard. I sent a request in to Chrysler historical for the IBM card. We will see what that shows. I believe the car was originally sold in Arizona, and the rust free body and reddish dust seems to bear that out.

I installed new rear speakers today and ran the wiring under the carpet along the rocker channels. I got the carpet back in place and ready for the seats.
