I have a headlight switch in this rallye cluster and I cant find a wiring diagram for it anywhere....
it has 6 posts although it looks like a tab is bent out on one and you cant really use it...
they say B, P , A, F1, F2 the one with the bent tab say b/u on it...

I'm effin lost trying to use the diagrams I can find.
need help please about to trip my hair out.. I have nothing to drive I ned headlights and tails lights .....LOL

took the multi meter to the one with 6 posts and this is what I get:

I use p as the common for power and and in the middle position I get hot at b/u, and A, in the top postion I get hot at b/u and f1

the part number is 2864045 38073 288 is the even a headlight switch? I find a wiper switch on ebay with the first part of the number

Um, what are we working on? Post a pic maybe, of the switch.

any update? year/make/model also helps people to help you...and of course a picture is always worth a thousand words.

I don't know if this helps or not considering I don't know what you have.... but I had drawn this up on autocad for a previous post I had a question with. The letters are not the same as yours but I would think that maybe with the color and wire indications shown you might be able to put two and two together. One correction though, and what I had previously had not known.... the pink wire shown on my diagram is actually coming from the fuse box where it's (red) at that point. It goes to the glove box and cigarette lighter SUPPLYING power to the headlight switch where it's (pink). The main black one is supplying power to the switch as well. Hope this helps.

it is a rocker style rallye dash switch

the switch in question by part number is a wiper switch no a headlight... ebay rip off I guess... person I bough it from put it in the headlight location on the dash is what it looks like. Bought switch from ebay.. non rallye dash but it will still work, I need a car to drive.... this is just a quick fix until I can do the proper restoration..

working on the tail lights now.. I put a whole new harness from painless in, so there is no guessing or messing around with the old wiring.. there is so much corrosion and dirt it didnt look to worth trying to salvage and I didnt see the value to it anyway. I'd much rather know my wiring is new and not worry abot cracking and dried out insulation and a fire started from a short. I ahd that happen in a 71 Challenger I had ..wasnt fun driving down the street at night and your dash literaly chatches fire... and the headlights go out..
