Headliner Help!

Hi everyone! I am in the process of installing the headliner in my ‘74 Charger SE, and I’m curious if these headliner clips will interfere with gluing in the new windshield? I would appreciate any tips! Thank you!

You do not want those clips or any material where the glass will sit.

I thought those clips were used along the side
Never seen them on the front edge before

??? What's the point of the clips ??? You spray both surfaces with glue, wait a couple minutens then stick 'em together. No clips !!!

We have it glued too, but just want to make sure it stays up! What glue do you recommend?

Post #2 and #3 are right on. Get that vinyl and clips outta there. Clips on sides only.

Contact cement. Clip it to position it only. Once glued - no clips

Factory had 3 or 4 of those little clips down each side of the car headliner of any second gen car I have worked on

The factory left the clips on and put the trim over the top. Take apart an original car and they are still there.
