Headrest Chrome Strip

'68 Coronet. Anyone replace the chrome strips in the headrests with the presumably Legendary Interior parts (from Classic Industries)? Any tips, tricks or watch out for? They have been in the console for 3 weeks, I should install them.

I have heard that you can replace them with self stick chrome trim from AutoZone, but I have been leery to remove the old ones or fear of the replacements not sticking well or doing damage when removing them not knowing how they are attached.

I did repaint them with a liquid chrome paint pen that someone had recommended in another thread several months ago and it worked well.

I'll be watching this thread though with interest.

I used them the new ones from classic are great just stick them on, the old ones can be a pain to get off
