I need advise on heat and sound matting. I was looking on eastwood and amazon. It looks like it would cost me about $200 to do my floor to the top of my fire wall. I saw in one of the reviews where a guy said dont waste your money and just buy roofing peal and stick at Home Depot. That it was the same thing at a 5th of the price. It sounds like a good idea. anyone out there with any experiences?

I went to the foam-factory by my home. Gym-Mat...4X8 sheet=$20.00, plus spray-glue.

Roofing products will give off an odor. There are a lot of products out there similar to Dynamat that work great for reverberation(read instructions before applying). There is no need to cover entire area for that to be effective. For sound, 1/8 foam pad and MLV.

I used the Cool It Thermotech stuff, sound and heat. It didn't cost as much as the others. Worked just like Dynomat. I would stay away from home repair products.

I read a thread somewhere, maybe on another Mopar site about this subject. Members was debating that some of this stuff when, gets warm (like roof and where exhaust), starts to "soften" or ooze out because their properties/chemicals that it's made of. I'll try to find it and post it here for all

The stuff I used didn't soften at all. I nailed it with a heat gun when I installed it and it stayed solid but much more pliable. Had it that hot I needed leather gloves to work it in. If you buy an automotive product you shouldn't have to worry about that.

went with eastwood thero-coustic for the floor and dynaliner for the roof

I have been using this on my 440 dart and w150 floor, no heat issues, no smell, sticks like crazy and 20 a roll at HD. I tried some dynamat and was disappointed, this is so much better.
