I am looking for a good used, NOS or aftermarket heat riser thermostatic spring p/n 02806353. The original p/n as listed in an OE 68 parts book is 9-58-5. The information I have says that this spring was used on the 1965 318ci V8's, the 66 318's through the 440's (except Imperials), the 67 318's and the 67 through 69 383's and 440's. This is the coiled spring that fits on the inside end of the heat riser shaft in the passenger side exhaust manifold. It is no longer available from Dodge or Chrysler and my local dealer did a dealer search and found nothing in the US. Does anyone have a good used or NOS one or a source for an aftermarket supplier? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi and welcome to the forum ejohnson195.
Thanks for joining!
This is a great forum and I'm sure you will get plenty of advice.

Try: Herbs parts.com
OR: try Bob Mazolinni Racing

I am also looking for the same, did you have any luck?
Dean - no luck yet. This is a tough one to find.... I can't believe someone in the aftermarket hasn't reproduced these yet. It's a simple little part that is pretty essential to a good restoration. I've read that people wire the heat risers open, but I don't like that option as it defeats the proper operation of the choke on the carb. I hope someone responds with some information soon!
