Hey guys! I need to replace the heater core in my 66 Belvedere. Can it be done without removing the dash? I'm old and fat (ugly too) and I can't get into the tight spots like I used to. Did this on a 64 Dart, and tore up the cowl intake hoses Thanks for the help !

When you get your new core check the in an out pipes length. I bought one put it in and the pipes were only a 1/2" out of firewall. Remove it and had the radiator shop where I bought it switch pipes.:mob::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead:

It seems most radiators/cores are aluminum now.

I have an 88 S10 I bought a new heater core for it, aluminum, didn't fit very well, not impressed.
Learned my lesson.

Same truck, new radiator is plastic/aluminum combo.
Took original copper/brass radiator to same place.
It will out last the truck.

62 Valiant, heater core failed, took it to same place.
They fixed it without recoring it, $40 cash.

Thanks guys. Not looking forward to the job, but at least, through your comments, it doesn't sound like a real back-breaker. Thanks again
