Just got the latest MM magazine and I have to give a thumbs up to Dodge CEO Tim Kuniskis. In it he basically says that they are watching how long a dealer has a Hellcat still sitting on his lot inferring that the dealer has marked it up unreasonably. He wants the car out in the public's eye not in the showroom as that is what promotes the car and the brand.

VERY BOLD BUT GOOD IDEA!! DEALERS CAN'T USE THEM TO BRING IN CUSTOMERS ONLY TO FIND OUT THEY HAVE IT MARKED UP SO MUCH YOU WON'T BUY THEIR! BUT THEN THEY TRY AND SELL U AN R-T INSTEAD I THINK ITS A GREAT IDEA!!:imho:

I agree with RC..."They should focus on ramping up production". Swamp the market. Make a entrance. Kick the doors down. No excuses!

THAT is what pissed me off with my 2007 Shelby GT500
I paid $10K over sticker...
I know (knew) a fellow who paid $35K over sticker for his...

Then Ford "FLOODED" the market with them...

But; Mine has only 197 miles on it...

I will sell mine and get a HellCat...

Bullshit!

Honestly... how many Hellcats are going to be sold compared to R/T's, SRT's....

Now, I do agree that Hellcats need to get out there, but in the grand scheme Hellcats are not making Chrysler any money on a per unit basis. What they are doing is getting people talking and thinking about the Challenger. For 99% of the customers a basic V6 Challenger is plenty good enough to give them a thrill behind the wheel.

They can give me a Hellcat to drive around, I'd get in out there. Well at least on nicer days after the salt is washed off the roads. But next spring, I'd be out there everyday with it. :nike:

When they hit the streets we should buy stock on the tire businesses.

my truck will out run a V6 Challenger, I would never buy one of those

I saw my first private party owned Hellcat yesterday (I've been seeing them for 3 months driving hyway 95 by Chrysler's desert test facility) - temp tags on it. Black.

You are right. And neither would I. But; we are not 99% of the people Chrysler is selling the Challenger to. I don't know what truck you have, but that grandma beside you in the V6 challenger will still look cooler than you do.

Not if it is the SRT10 Ram 1500. I would take a new 3500 Dully over a V6 Challenger as well.
