Hi all,

Mikey, here. Greetings to all of you from Sunny NorCal. I currently have no Mopar, however, I have been cleared by the Finance Director to source a '69 Super Bee... maybe a Coronet. In the early 90s was a mechanic for a few years after graduating auto tech school then got into IT.. go figure. In my younger days I was a Chevy V8 guy, now have a '73 VW Westy which we've brought back to life, engine and all. I've had a V8 Jeep for quite some time so am not new to Mopar small blocks and have helped work on and build a few big block cars. But now 30 years or so later, finally, the time has come for me to pick one up. Either a project, restored, or somewhere in-between, just depending on cost. I'm joining the forum to get some advice, share insights, etc., and try to find out what the best way is to find a 69 Bee. I have only seen a couple at dealers for restored cars but would like to add some modern day touches like OD trans, FI, maybe power windows :)... you know, the little things just to bring it into the modern age. I'm a huge fan of resto-mods but don't plan on getting too crazy. Thanks very much in advance for your wisdom and counsel.

Mikey.

Welcome from the central coast. There is the Mopar Alley show in July plus one in Sacto, no clue when, for possibilities of cars/projects for sale. Plus the for sale section on this forum.

Cool. I grew up in Woodland then moved to Trinity County when I was 10. We have a few active members here that are around you.

Good luck in your search, 69 Coronets are definitely cheaper but even they are hard to find these days as most have been used as parts cars or cloned into Super Bees.

Welcome from the middle of the Pacific ocean.

Welcome from Napa, not the bougie part, the part with mosquitos.

Thanks everyone and hello back, much appreciated. Whaddup, Fesser - is that a '69 Bee / Coronet? Sounds like you might be out near the Wharf parts.

Fan Dan - awesome. We love Trinity. My grandfather and I used to hunt and fish those parts back in the day.

Thanks,
Mikey

68 Coronet R/T. Good guess on location. One road over from Cuttings Wharf Road. I can see vineyards, but I only grow weeds and skeetos.

Welcome to FBBO from quite a bit 'east of you'
