ok so i think i lost all off my fire from dist. i have 12.95 vts on my battery so it hot i have fire to both sides of ballast (single element with 2 wire plugged each side) drivers side lower and other. coil is new and has fire when key . new rotor and cap , spark plugs new also. fire my be weak when using a extra spark plug ground to manifold. was not Blue .
puting a test lite on the dist and spark plug boot (inside on connector ) with key turning over produced no light.

Start checking for power through the complete 'start' circuit.
Battery wiring to ignition switch...starter relay...ballast...and so on. You should find it.

You said you have a spark to the end of the plug. Don't be fooled just because a coil has an ark. Did you try putting your old coil back on?

Are you running a points distributor or an electronic ignition with an ecu?

More Information is needed . So your stating cranks but won't start?? No spark?
something simple did you check & see make the distributor shaft is turning?
electronic distributor has a reluctor gap correct?.. poor ground for ECU, broke wire...
1. Ballast Resistor
2. Coil-A coil needs only two things to spark, voltage and ground.
3. Electronic Control Module
4. Voltage Regulator
5. Starter Relay
