I'm unsure of how the left and right side headliner trim is supposed to fasten to the roof edge. The trim piece has many of these sliding clips, or whatever, but what do they fasten to?

I am having problems also. I think the thickness of the headliner is causing problems for me. It took me a while to sort out how the clips fit in the trim. Left and right are easy to tell apart. Look for the end with the angle. The hole should be on the under side. One of my problems is that the passenger side appears to be bent when I try to install it. I may have to trim the headliner inside the channel. I am also having a problem in finding the holes for the screws in addition to not being able to find the correct screw for the trim. I hope that the pictures help.
