I got the engine and transmission installed today. It went about as well as could be expected for just a one-man show.
A few scratches and forgot to remove the battery tray and bent it. I spent 2 hours trying to get the engine to drop down in place and it would line up on one side but not the other. Finally figured out that I had the rubber engine mount on upside down on the passenger side. Once I figured that out it dropped down right were it was supposed to. I'm happy with the progress.

I know the feeling. I usually remove or install most of mine by myself also.

Nice job! Yes the battery tray needs to come out. It’s funny when people don’t believe it until they get there, “hey you were right!”
