Hi guys.. just joined.. have a 1970 Roadrunner...converted to electronic ignition last week

now have persistent backfire through the carb. Yesterday my car just died in 1 st gear ( have 4 spd)..,
Shop rebuilt Edelbrock carb, timed motor.. changed coil.
Any ideas?
Wired with existing coil & ballast ...didn’t t have issue prior to converting to electronic ignition..

Thank you for the quic response.
Yes the distributor placement was marked.
Conflicting info on how to wire electronic ignition on internet..
Mopar sure recommends transisterized voltage regulator..also discussion to by pass ballast...

What brand of distrubtor did you install? Mopar or msd, mallory or some chinese knock off? We need to know what system you have so we can get you running sooner than later.
