Although I've never done one, a 4 to 2 door conversion is possible.
When I took my 62 2 door hardtop apart, the interior rear 'door' section had a clearly visible 'plug' in the inner structure.
I also had a 4 door hardtop. If it was worth saving, and I had a set of doors/donor, could have easily made it a 2 door.
Still, a 62 Polara hardtop, bumper guards, is cool.

Pretty rare car. Polara 500 4-door Hardtop. 1962 was the only year they did it. Besides, what's wrong with 4-doors? If it was closer, and I was younger, I would be on it like a fat kid on a Smartie!
