I had a issue recently with my Holley 12-840 0-9 psi fuel pressure regulator and found the problem and someone might have similar issues. My 440 had 6 psi fuel pressure when cold but when it warmed up the fuel pressure would drop to 3 psi. The adjustment on the regulator had no effect and did not work. Took the regulator apart and found the spring seat inside broken. The dished part the adjuster contacts was broken off the seat. The spring that pressed against the seal and seat was free floating. A new pump and fuel line and the problem was the regulator. Thanks Holley. Also I can’t order the spring seat and a junk regulator now. Got a fuel pump that doesn’t need a regulator now. Hope this helps someone.
