I wonder if the E-Body hood release cable offered by Classic Industries will fit a '72 BBody. The one I already purchased from Classic for a BBody does not have the loop end, but a pin end. There is a note on the Classic website that the BBody cable does not feature a loop end (not sure if that stipulation was on the site when I made my purchase some time ago). I wonder what years use loop and what years use the pin?

Ebody cable:

I had a local guy repair a factory hood release cable originally with a loop end with a new loop end, but upon close examination I find the cable he used is only about half the diameter (and strength?) as the original cable (see foto of repaired loop cable and wrong Classic cable). What to do now? My vehicle never had the inside hood release from the factory, this is supposed to be an upgrade.

Just noticed that their is a comment/review on the classic site from a purchaser who said he is using the ebody cable on a bbody, but he/she is still painting the vehicle.

Should work. B/E bodies are pretty much the same beast from the A-pillar to the core support. As you mentioned, there might be a difference on the hood latch mechanism itself.
