Looks good so far would like to see pics when you got her done....good luck.

Thanks! I'm going to be moving the pieces around a little and staring at it from all angles for a while till i'm satisfied with it before I tack it down. I think i'm going to cut a bit more towards the front on the center panel so the bulge starts at a better smoother angle from the curve of the hood leading edge. i'm being careful to not let the power bulge overwhelm the scoops for center of eye appeal. I mean, it's not a Chevy after all...

Using the factory lines in the hood is very cool. Should end up looking like a factory show car or prototype!

Very COOL idea there Ghostrider 67 . . . I like what you've got in mind . . . can't wait to see it along the way ! !

I know, right?! Seriously though, that freakin hood is so dang huge it needed something to eat up some of that real estate. The whole thing is a mock up at the moment. I have to move stuff around, make some changes and tweak it a little. When I have it right i'll get out the thin sheetmetal that matches the hood skin and bend them in a brake and flange the bottom to give me something to mount them with.

Thanks! When I look at this body from the side it has a really long front end. I figured the scoops , when seen from the side, will give it some symmetry. I was surprised how easy the hood skin separated from the bracing. I have never liked the lines that go out to each corner of the hood front edge on an angle but now I think they go a bit better with the down slope of the power bulge there.
