Hopefully Trump Deports Them All!

i always liked the body lines of the e bodies growing up.
then,i got into mopars and owned a few..
i found the seating positions to be way too low in the body and you couldnt see much out of the car at angles.
its just not a comfortable car for me to drive..

Personally, I think that a Cuda all decked out with all the exterior goodies is a GREAT looking car, but I could just never get comfortable in my '70 Challenger.

I love my Challenger although it's a bit of a plastic rattletrap inside and I can't wait for my RR to be finished but if I could only keep 1 it'd be the Imperial.

I love mostly all mopars and even the foreign export versions....

As far as E bodies the 70 TA challenger, AAR cuda, shakers, and 71 cuda are all beautiful rides......

Bru the majority of Mopar restoration shop customers are the E body crowd and it has been that way for a long time......BTW the majority of those restored E bodies go to either Canada or overseas anyway.....This is MOPAR we are desired throughout the world!

But the real MEN drive B Bodies!

Sonny, I do not disagree with you much, but on this one I do. Real Men drive 4 door B Bodies! The logic is that you have to be a Real Man to be seen driving Grandma's grocery getter, right?

Also, let me say that I would not kick an E body out of bed for eating crackers! I am partial to B bodies, but I have to admit that I like E bodies too.....and A bodies......and although I would not buy a C body for myself, I can appreciate C bodies that other people own. If it is a Mopar, I am pretty much going to like it. :usflag:

Ive owned 1 challenger & I sold it as soon as I was done with it. I was not impressed with it

71 Cuda Beats most Bbodys. 68 Charger, 69 Super bee should be about All tied with looks and styling.

Oh God! 71 Cudas... Talking to E body fans is like talking to Chicago Bears fans. One always mentions the 71 Cuda and one always mentions the 86 Bears. Why? Because those are about all they have to brag about. :) Everything else is pretty mundane.

Yes... E bodies are great looking cars... until you have to look at them for the 10,000,000,000th time, or read the latest in a series of a gazillion articles about them, or hear a group debating on how they can make one look "fresh, new, and exciting" when anything they do has been done about a hundred thousand times before.

It's like the old marketing story of The Purple Cow. A guy takes his family on vacation to the south of France, and they come across a picturesque dairy farm. The family stops to enjoy the splendid view of the dark green grass, and hundreds of black and white cows enjoying the sunshine. They all talk about how beautiful the cows look. Then they go down the road and see an equally beautiful farm and stop to gaze again. Then they go down the road and see another farm, and another, and another, but now they don't bother to stop. And before long the guy's daughter says "Don't they have anything besides black and white cows? Wouldn't it be great to see a purple cow!" E bodies have become those black and white cows.

Bru, whatcha drinking? Must be some good stuff.......

Your thirsty brothers would like to know???

Well, one of my neighbours had a 340/4speed/4.11 (dealer installed) rear '71 Challenger T/A and it was a riot. Until one day, he came home from a night out at 8000rpm in fourth and threw a rod in the process. Yep clacking all the way until he reached home.

17 years later he bought our 440 six pack shortblock, installed a set of prepped 400 B cylinder heads....... anyway, I much respect those E-bodies. I just wish I bought one when I had the chance in 1988. :drama:

I got to play around with a 440 Challenger for a few days in 77, but I never wrang it out sideways,,,just pounds on it in straight lines, but no balls out clutch dumping nor seed shifts. I believe been told that the E bods shorter wheelbases are sqirrelier in butt than B bods. All my 318 B's were very predictable cars, lots of warning when they wanted to break, nothing sudden. So if tomorrow I could have my choice, I'd take a B over an E in a heartbeat. I think 'Cuda is a very good looking car, much prefer it to Challenger, cleaner sides,,,I don't care for the waist peak line running down sides, like the looks of new gen Challenger because they subtracted that.
I read here someone said E styling cues were taken from Camaro. Javelin/AMX I think are drawn off Camaro, but I think Camaro took a bit from the Goose, which first public appearance was Turin show in 1966.

I happen to love the profile of 4 door Coros.....no fake louvers stamped in qtrs either.

By 1970 I had gone Into the military, and cars weren't on the top of my list. However, Whenever I hear there is another Cuda, to look at, my dream car the 1969 Fastback comes to mind. That was the last car I really wanted back then. I owned a 70' Challenger for a few years, but I couldn't afford the chiropractor I needed after driving it. And the endless rattling. I sold it, and by luck my best friend had decided to sell his 69' 383 Four speed Fastback Cuda, owned since 1976. So all is good with the Universe again. However, As far as actually looking at and driving regularly, you just can't beat the Charger and Two door Coronet of the time. But, that is just me talking. All the Mopars of the day are really good as far as I'm concerned. I have to agree with Bru that my Interest in Car shows drops big time when I have to wade thru rows of Challengers, old and new before I get to some real classics. As far as watching the car shows, I don't have cable, as I can't afford it! Damn Mopars! Lol

Excuse me, sir...it's the '85 Bears and DON'T YOU FORGET IT!!!

Haha.

Anyway...while I appreciate the E-bodies for what they are, they are just not my cup of tea. My Dad always laughs and says, "Even as a little kid at car shows you'd walk right past the crowd of people surrounding the Cuda to go see the '66 Coronet."

I dunno but even from a young age the B-body size and lines just spoke to me. I've recently grown very fond of some of the A bodies and could see myself owning one, but I'll still pass on the E's.

I like E-bodies, not quite as much as B-bodies or A-bodies though.
I hate Camaros. Way too many. The only exception would be the 1st Gen Z-28 with a dual quad 302/4 speed. Take all the rest of them to the scrap yard.
They must have made more 69 camaros than all b-bodies combined. Some Chevy guy once told me (don't know if it's true) that the reason the went from 69 to 70 1/2 is that they made so damn many 69s that they didn't build the entire first 6 months of the 70 production run because the still had so many unsold 69s.
Either way, dudes with Camaros whine about how everything's unfair outside a gaybar, while the Mopar guy fucks the prom queen across the hood of his GTX!

At least they're Mopars
B-Body "mid size 5" for me 1st & foremost lately
but I'd take a nice `cuda too...
