I just installed steering wheel. When I connect horn wire from wheel, horn continuously sounds.
Relay is good. Am I missing an insulator somewhere? Also when horn button installed, do not have any push to it to activate horn. It is very rigid. 1970 R/T Coronet.
Thanks for any advice.
If you pull that black wire of the terminal and the horn does not sound continuously the fault will be in the wheel pad contact.
If you touch the black wire to the steering column shaft the horn should sound correctly when you touch the wire and stop when you take it off.
I have one of those steering wheels and the pad can be moved a little bit. From your description that does sound like that is were the problem is, but it is fairly simple to test.
Steve340, my horn works correctly as you described. It sounds continuously when I hook it up to wire terminal, not even installing wheel pad. Thanks for reply.
