I'm planning on installing this kit on my Sport Satellite when I get the money together. Along with the few things that aren't included in it like torsion bars and ball joints. I'll be interested to see your opinion on it when you get it all together. Especially interested in how the sub-frame connectors work, as they seem to be a little less beefy than some of the other ones I've seen.
Hotchkis is a class act. If you get to Santa Fe Springs in SoCal, they are a great Host. Been there. I have only the Hotchkis-tuned Bilstein shocks on my 69 Coronet R/T. Get them. Amazing improvement of handling and ride. I have the USCartool subframe connectors. Keep us posted. For me, the firm feel box, Momo wheel and other items really contributed to a much improved drive/ride. BTW, 295 50 15's go in the back with lots of clearance. I got the wheels and Cooper Cobras mounted to the door from Summit for a great deal. Think I could have gone with 305's if you can find them.
I have some Hotchkis items on my 68 satellite. Running their front sway bar, uca's, steering rods, and rear leafs. Good quality and design and great customer service, but a bit expensive compared to most other aftermarket offerings out there, especially those uca's. if I did it again I think I would get uca's from elsewhere for cheaper. Not sure how much I notice the uca's improved location, but I did get 4.5 degrees positive caster. For my sub frames connectors I went with Global West tubulars which are more rigid due to tube instead of square channel and weld at each end only. Are those Hotchkis connectors bolt on only? If so, they will eventually loosen so be sure to check them.
I have driven Dennis H's car and overall he has less mods and although mine feels stiffer due to my subframe connectors style I believe, I actually like the way his coronet handles better than mine and we both have upgraded steering as well. There is a lot to be said for proper suspension adjustment and tuning including tire size and overall stance that will affect how the car feels and handles.
