They've been talking about it for a pretty good while. The owners retired and even sold their construction business and sold the land to the warehouses next door. They got rid of the dirt track awhile back and kinda figured it wouldn't be long before the drag strip would also go away. That whole area has turned into warehouse city. Looked at land in the area 30+ years ago when the track was only a couple of year old. Maybe it was a mistake not buying out that way but geez, moving away ain't that easy when you're in the 70's and sure wouldn't like putting up with all the truck traffic that's out there now.
