How do you attach an add-on buddy seat?

How does one install a buddy seat in a '72 BBody that never had one installed from the factory? Does it use some kind of brackets? Can I mount it further back than the stock location without a problem? Thank you.

there are 2 brackets that get welded on to the hump. you can probably weld it more forward or back as long as you keep the spacing correct for the bolts that screw into the buddy seat. a member on the forum was selling repop brackets, iirc. do a search.
