How Eagle-Eyed Are You?

2 barrel carb with 4 barrel pie pan?

The intake bolts are vertical instead of perpendicular to the head face. Magnum swap.

BINGO! For a moment there, I thought nobody would figure it out.

I thought I was seeing things! Oh, well! Nice little stealthy move there!

funny, I kept staring at those damn bolts but I'd have never guessed that! good one.
sharp eye hemirunner!

Hehehe - fun stuff to play detective on a photo, isn't it? So much that doesn't meet the eye at first or second glance.

Incidentally, this thread made me super self-conscious about the gacked-up paint (remnants of my lifter disaster), so I masked everything off and touched it up last night. Came out nice, IMHO.

I'm debating whether to swap out the tin for an orange 1969 version, but I can't seem to may myself take that plunge. Hell, I need a proper fan shroud before that.

What car is it? And do tell about the paint colors. Red, blue and orange are all possibilities in 69?

I think the other fellows covered the paint colors pretty well, but it seems as if '69 small blocks could have been any of those three.

As for the car, it's a 1968 Plymouth Satellite 4-door. The last car possible that you could ever guess to have a Hemi Orange Magnum 5.9 in it, masquerading as a '68 340:
