How many 8 3/4" chunks do you currently have?

I am keeping the 3.23 SG case. I don't remember the casting number.

Just two here one in the charger 3:55 sg
One in the 64 300. Never checked gear but I'm sure there highway gears and a peg leg !

When you don't have an overdrive, you are always going to have some type of trade-off.

2.94,3.23 x2, 3.55 x 2, 3.91, 4.10, at most I did have 13, I rebuild them and sell them.

Case number Kern. It denotes the type of pumpkin. 741, the coveted 742, and the 489. All will work in the 8 3/4 rear ends as they bolt right in. It was just a wish to have a 3:23 SG again but I can live with my 3:91's and the replacement 3:55 that I will get around to swapping out. Thanks, I know what you meant. I don't remember which casting number that it is.

use to have a couple in 742 cases & 489 cases

sold them all,
I wish I'd have kept the 3.73:1 in the 742 case
or the 3.91:1 in the 489 case

now just have the org. 3.23:1 SG & 742 case in my car
so far so good

had a 3.23:1 SG, a 3.55:1 SG,
a 3.73:1 SG, 3.91:1 & 4.10:1 Eaton TrueTrack
had a 4.30:1 with a spool (when they still made pro-gears for a 8 3/4")

Only 1 extra for me. Haven’t done anything to it yet since I picked it up.

I need a 3.23 SG or similar for the '71 Challenger. We had a 3.91 SG and the bolts backed out in it self destructed. 3.91 was too steep anyway.
