How to check identification # to vin

Was wondering if someone knowns about the identifcation number's on the body under the rear trunk seal body lip and the radiator support core on a 69 super bee, the # are the same but was wondering how do they match up on my title, the #'s on the body are g9 178614, can someone help me out, just want to check to make sure everything matches up with the vin.

Hmmm, I would expect it should start with 9G. The 9 would be the year (1969) and the G is the assy plant (St. Louis I think). The last six numbers should correspond to the last six of the VIN tag on the dash. The fender tag will have the last six as well.
